News - 5-speed lever guide 251 711 173 C.
Following the aquisition of a factory drawing for this part, we are now looking to remanufacture them once dedicated tooling has been sourced.
These tapered blocks are bolted to the bottom of the gear lever box under the cab floor and constitute the gearlever gate. They gradually wear on their flanks and once the plastic tips on the gear lever start to chip off, the wear becomes much more rapid resulting in an increasingly poor shift.
Machined from solid alloy (the originals are die-cast) at a considerably reduced cost than from OEM sources, when combined with our 5-speed lever tip repair kit - which is under development - they will transform your gearshift, assuming the rest of the linkage and gearbox is in similarly good condition!
